The new 500m² workshop needed a flooring system that could perform in a demanding knife-making environment. Daily interior foot traffic and regular workshop activity meant the floor had to be durable and easy to maintain. At the same time, the finish needed to look clean and professional, helping the new facility feel bright and aligned with the premium nature of the Victory Knives brand. Cost was also an important factor. The client required a solution that could deliver strong performance and visual impact without exceeding budget expectations for a project of this scale.
To meet these needs, a lighter-build Flowshield UV system was selected as a cost-effective flooring solution that still delivered the finish and durability required for the space. The system was installed by Epoxy Flooring and the application process began with careful surface preparation to ensure long-term performance. The concrete substrate was diamond ground to CSP 3 to create the right profile for adhesion. The flooring build-up included, Universal Resin Primer applied at 0.25kg/m², Universal Resin mixed 1:1 with Silica Flour at 0.50kg/m² and Deckshield UV applied at 0.15kg/m².
This specification created a smooth, seamless surface with the durability needed for everyday workshop use, while also achieving a bright, refined appearance.
